PTA membership is handled through BigTent.com. It's an amazing site which puts all our group emails under one "big tent", while automating our membership enrollment.

Why join the PTA? Your voice is important!
Joining the PTA supports local, state and national efforts to improve the education of children. Membership ensures that the voice of the PTA at many levels is heard. By joining our local WGE PTA, you are showing your support for the children at our school, in addition to those nationwide.
The WGE PTA is responsible for many events, programs, and funding at Willow Glen. As a member of the PTA, regardless of how much or how often you may be able to actively participate, your interest in and support of the activities for our children is visible. Would you like to have voting power? If you would like to vote for or against any item brought forth by the PTA, you must be an active member.
The following academic enrichment programs are supported by our PTA, programs that your membership will ensure continuation of:
- Music – classes for K–5th, band for 3rd – 5th
- Science – docent led program for all grades
- Art – docent led programs for all grades
- ABC Parents/Los Dichos – docent led Project Cornerstone reading program focusing on the 24 Behavioral Assets of success.
- Playworks – fitness and games led by Playworks trained staff, on the playground and during class
- Accelerated Reader Program – teacher led, student driven school wide reading program bringing the joy of reading, and reading well, to our children.

How much does it cost to join?
One adult membership is only $10.00. A parent, grandparent, neighbor, or even a business may join the PTA. For just $20.00 a couple with one or more children at the school, or who simply want to support our school can do so. A portion of the fee stays at WGE, the rest is submitted to the state for national PTA efforts.
Membership is signified by an official membership card and expires annually on Oct 31.
How can I join?
You may join the WGE PTA at anytime in two ways:
1) The best way to join is right here, through our Big Tent site. Joining online will also give you access to our new group email (replacing our yahoo group) that will keep you up to date on PTA events.
2) During the school year, stop by the school office, fill out a membership envelope and submit with your pledge enclosed.
Once your membership is received by our Membership Chair, you will become a part of our WGE PTA membership database, and you will receive your PTA membership card and fabulous coupons for Legoland!
